Caitlin Chin-Rothmann is a fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a non-profit think tank in Washington, D.C., where she analyzes the impact of technology on geopolitics and society. Her current research interests include the relationships between data brokers and government agencies, evolution of news in a digital era, and the role of technology platforms in countering online harmful content. 

Prior to joining CSIS, Caitlin worked as a research analyst at the Brookings Institution, where she primarily analyzed developments in U.S. privacy and antitrust legislation. She began her career as a public policy intern with Verizon and VMware and later completed a Google Public Policy Fellowship with the Internet Education Foundation. Caitlin has a B.A. in Government and Spanish from the University of Maryland and a M.P.P. from Georgetown University.
